McFly member Tom Fletcher has been named patron of disabled children and young people's charity Whizz-Kidz.

The announcement was made during an event last week, at which Fletcher was signing copies of his latest book The Christmasaurus for young people, and he commented 'I am completely humbled and delighted to become a part of Whizz-Kidz family of patrons, and can’t wait to start working alongside them to make a difference to the lives of disabled children and young people across the UK'.
